My wife purchased two of these for the 3 year old grandson. He loves to watch the two engines (since we bought two kits) go around one large track. The engine can travel inverted, vertical up and down, and right-side up. Easy and quick to recharge. Adults will have a small learning curve in how to build all the different track layouts. Kids just can't unhook and re-connect the correct blocks in the correct order to get everything to line up for a complete round-trip layout.
